Favorite photo in Crumpled Dreams work

Rommel Rebollido's fave photograph in his series Crumpled Dreams, Wrinkled Realites

Gensan based writer and photographer Rommel Rebollido picks his favorite photo in his work, Crumpled Dreams, Wrinkled Realities and talks about why he likes it.

It was late afternoon and the elderly have just finished taking dinner. I was about to leave the place and as I emerged from the dining area of the home, I saw this surreal scene of two elderly – one walking towards me and the other going out by the door. Instinctively, I aimed my camera and took a series of shots. I like this picture as it encapsulate the situation at the home – to each his/her own, and it also seemingly depicts their uncertainty and the neglect they get from relatives and the government. The surreal effect gives drama to the lines and shapes in the surrounding.
